Fanfare Privacy Policy

"We", “Us”, “Fanfare” and “Our” means Fanfare Recruiting Services Ltd.;
"Registered User" means a User who registers on the Website to open an account on the Registered User Site;
"You" and “Your” means either: (i) any user of the Site (whether or not a Registered User) not being a Minor; or (ii) a parent, guardian, or educational supervisor that has allowed a Minor to visit or use the Site.
"Minor" means any person who has not achieved the age of majority in the jurisdiction they live in, (Minors must seek the permission of their parent, guardian or educational supervisor to use the Site).
“Registered User Site” means the restricted area of the Site which is separate from the Website where users may customize their accounts, view the information of other Registered Users of the Site and communicate with them.
“Site” means collectively the Website and the Registered User Site.
“Privacy Policy” means this Privacy Policy.
"Website" means the Fanfare website, available at www.fanfarejobs.com
“Website Content” has the meaning set out herein.
This Privacy Policy describes how information is collected and distributed while using the Site and is designed to provide You with the knowledge You need to control access to Your personal information. We encourage You to read the entire Privacy Policy so that You have a firm understanding of what personal information We collect, how We use that information, how We protect that information, and what You can do to control Your information and access to your account on the Fanfare Registered User Site. Fanfare reserves the right to revise this Privacy Policy at any time and any revisions will be effective immediately upon posting to the Site.
Information Collected and Retained

Fanfare collects and retains personal information about its Users when they register to use the Site.

Fanfare does not knowingly collect Personal Information from Minors unless consent has been granted to do so by a parent or guardian in accordance with Our Terms of Service.

Users who are students registering to use the Site will provide Fanfare with their name, email address, academic information, a synopsis of their work experience, and other optional demographic information.

Users who are employers registering to use the Site will provide Fanfare with their name, email address, title, position, company, telephone number, and (where applicable) their credit or PayPal information.

Employers who register on the Site will be required to provide Fanfare their company name, logo, website, industry, number of employees, and a company description.

Fanfare receives, collects, and logs the information sent by Your browser when browsing the Site (including, but without limitation: browser type, cookies, IP address, and specific page requests).
How Information is Used

Fanfare will use collected personal information to: provide employment recruiting services to Registered Users, bill Registered Users for services, register and authenticate Users as Registered Users, maintain the accounts of Registered Users on the Site, develop new services in order to offer them to Users, contact Users about the Site and our services, and conduct anonymous research and reports relating to the use of the Site.

Information provided by Registered Users who are students and employers will have their information added to our searchable database where it may be accessed, used, and stored by other Registered Users.

Any information provided by users may be required to facilitate the connection between employers and students and will therefore be made available to Users of the site.

Fanfare will not use any personal information it discovers has been provided by a Minor without the consent of a parent or guardian, in accordance with Our Terms of Service.
How We Protect your Information
All personal information provided to Fanfare is guarded by Fanfare with all reasonable care and discretion. Whenever personal information is shared by You, Fanfare will take all reasonable measures to ensure the information is kept private and not misused by third parties. Additionally, when entities are provided with personal information, Fanfare will, in good faith, make an effort to ensure that those third parties comply with this Privacy Policy.
Disclosure of Personal Information to Others
By registering on the site as a student, You agree to allow Us to disclose personal information relating to Your job application history to Your post-secondary institution for the purposes of institutional reporting and providing other students with enhanced career guidance and education. You also agree to allow Us to disclose personal information from job postings on the Site that You have responded to and workshops You have attended to employers. This personal information includes but is not limited to:

Name, e-mail address, and phone number

Education Information, including: school, program, GPA, professional designations, and year of graduation

Resume

Any other submitted documentation: cover letter, resume, and any other supplemental documentation
By registering on the site as an employer, You agree to allow Us to disclose personal information to students which You have disclosed to Us in the course of using the Site for job postings and workshops. This information includes but is not limited to:

Company profile information (including, but not limited to, a description, website link, sector and number of employees)

Job specific information (including, but not limited to, date, location, compensation, job requirements, and contact information)

Workshop-specific information such as date, location, event specific information, and contact information
We may also disclose personal information under the following conditions:

When required by law by order or requirement of a court, administrative agency or other governmental tribunal;

To meet any regulatory requirements;

Where it is necessary to establish or collect monies owing to Fanfare;

Where it is necessary to permit Fanfare to pursue available remedies or limit any damages that Fanfare may sustain; or

In the event that Fanfare is sold or otherwise acquired (in whole or in part)
Fanfare will not disclose any personal information it discovers has been provided by a Minor without the consent of a parent or guardian, in accordance with Our Terms of Service.

While using the Site You may click on a link which causes You to leave our site. We are not responsible for the privacy policies of third-party sites and Users are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the privacy policies of any third-party websites.
Information Options
At any time You may review and change any personal information within your account profile on the Registered User Site. Registered Users are free to delete their account at any time but non-identifiable information will be retained within Our records for demographic and statistical reporting purposes. To delete an account, Registered Users may either edit their account themselves within the Registered User Site or contact info@fanfarejobs.com and request their account be deleted.
Limitations of Deleting your Account
Personal Information accessed by other parties using the Site prior to account deletion may retain this information after an account has been deleted. Any personal information collected and stored by persons other than Fanfare is subject to that person’s privacy policy. Once an account has been deleted from the Registered User Site, past interactions with other parties will remain on the system but will not be accessible or searchable to other parties moving forward.
Changes to Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to revise this Privacy Policy at any time and any such revisions will be effective immediately upon posting to the Site. Please review this Privacy Policy periodically as your continued use of the Site will indicate your agreement with any such revisions.
