About Us

About fanfare:

fanfare was founded by Chris Alleyne and Latham French in 2009 and adopted into the Ryerson Digital Media Zone in early 2010. As students, Chris and Latham maintained high grades, were involved in extracurricular clubs and enrolled in their schools co-op/internship programs. Both Chris and Latham expected top job opportunities to pour in, yet their experiences finding jobs differed significantly. Latham was fortunate to secure a series of high-quality work placements, while Chris was not. Unfortunately, Chris wasn’t alone as many of his and Latham’s peers from across Canada shared similar difficulties finding employment. Frustrated with the limited access to quality co-op, internship and entry-level positions for business students and recent graduates, Chris and Latham created fanfare.

fanfare is an employment network designed to integrate with post-secondary schools across Canada to provide employers with centralized access to talented students.

Through fanfare:

  • Students access a larger pool of high quality job opportunities
  • Employers expand their reach to the best talent while reducing costs
  • Schools place more students in meaningful work experience

Mission & Vision:

Our mission is to help business students and recent graduates secure meaningful employment by building channels to showcase their talents to reputable employers.

Our vision is to assist ALL post-secondary students secure meaningful employment
